The Core Curriculum

core brochureThe innovative Core Curriculum cultivates and nurtures curiosity by emphasizing the process of inquiry and the creation of knowledge through debate, research, and scholarship. The Core Curriculum incorporates students into the research mission of our great university and equips them with the intellectual resources required for excellence in meeting the rapidly transforming challenges of the 21st century.

The Core Requirements Comittee (CRC) reviews proposals for certification of courses in the Core Curriculum, including plans for assessment of Core learning goals outcomes. The CRC is made up of faculty representatives from the various Schools that require students to complete the NB Core Curriculum, and is overseen by the  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. CRC recommendations are reported at the end of each semester for formal faculty approval. The Core Curriculum is completed by all students matriculating in SAS, SEBS and the RBS, including those planning to complete majors offered by EJBSPPP, MGSA, SC&I, SMLR, and SSW. SEBS students also complete several additional SEBS-specific Core requirements.
