Wednesday, July 28, 2021, 02:00pm - 03:00pm

Learn to recognize and help deter microaggressions in the classroom in an interactive workshop with Kaylin Padovano, Staff/Faculty Training Coordinator for the Enhancing Victim Services Project at the Rutgers School of Social Work. Participants will learn more about the variety of microaggressions that students might encounter in their learning environments and the cumulative impact they can have on their classroom experience.

The workshop will provide practical strategies for instructors using Bystander Intervention techniques and microaffirmations to create a more inclusive classroom space.

This event is co-sponsored by Teaching & Learning at the SAS Office of Undergraduate Education and the Coalition for Anti-Racism, Social Justice, and Equity (CASE).
